Dance Lessons: Gift, Part 2

In a previous post I reflected on the gift of relationship in dance and my walk with Christ. I am learning that I don’t have to be the perfect offering; I need only to receive His perfect presence. Receiving this gift by faith is harder even than pursuing the illusion of perfection. But as I open myself to receive, the performance idol loses its hold on me, and in my newfound freedom I desire to give something in return.

But what can I give, if God does not want my performance or skills or anything I can do? Stripped of everything the world values (and that I often value too much), I have nothing left to give– nothing less to give– than my heart. (Read rest of blog post.)
